Mystery Mansion
As I embark,
Into the abandoned house,
I hear a dog bark,
When I also see a mouse.
I gently close the door
Right behind me
Attempting to ignore
The possibilities of what I might see
I turn on the flashlight,
Cold with fear.
I see a statue of Aphrodite,
Somewhere near.
Seeing nothing important,
I eye the staircase
With cracks abundant.
So I head towards the base.
I begin ascending
The withered stairs
Thinking of what is pending
Is giving me the scare.
Finally I reach The first floor
I audibly screeched
At a sight I’ve never seen before.
A creepy clown head
Was staring right into my face!
Engulfed in dread,
Down the stairs I had to race.
When I reached the main door,
It flew ajar.
So I opened It a little more
And ran very far…
My adventure through mystery mansion
Isn’t spoken of much.
It reminds me of that day’s tension
And bravery of such.
