this scandalous society
why is this society in rags,
where values are long gone?
the numbers soaring high on tags,
because of cheat and con.
why is money being morphed to black,
and put in use far and wide?
we are getting prone to ransack,
with laws being hurled aside.
this infernal corruption, is now at its apex.
it is like a volcanic eruption,
which leaves all vexed.
racism has surely gone way too high,
with caste issues prevailing to rife.
so called "leaders" falling for bribes,
innocents being imprisoned for life.
where are the saviors of mankind?
who will make these problems perish?
who will help this world realign,
and make the world a place to cherish?
why can't we be one of those "saviours"?
well, it is our duty to be.
abide to laws properly, and
"be the change you want to see".

Mystery Mansion
As I embark,
Into the abandoned house,
I hear a dog bark,
When I also see a mouse.
I gently close the door
Right behind me
Attempting to ignore
The possibilities of what I might see
I turn on the flashlight,
Cold with fear.
I see a statue of Aphrodite,
Somewhere near.
Seeing nothing important,
I eye the staircase
With cracks abundant.
So I head towards the base.
I begin ascending
The withered stairs
Thinking of what is pending
Is giving me the scare.
Finally I reach The first floor
I audibly screeched
At a sight I’ve never seen before.
A creepy clown head
Was staring right into my face!
Engulfed in dread,
Down the stairs I had to race.
When I reached the main door,
It flew ajar.
So I opened It a little more
And ran very far…
My adventure through mystery mansion
Isn’t spoken of much.
It reminds me of that day’s tension
And bravery of such.

selene to sunshine--poem
SELENE TO SUNSHINE
We all watched in dismay,
As darkness crept up the bay.
Gloomy shadows superseded bright sunshine,
Entirely engulfing Erebus’s shrine.
Swarthy darkness swallowed everything,
Making kids abandon every swing.
Dwellers safely hid in their homes,
To escape the night when nobody roams.
Tucking drowsily into their beds,
They pull their covers over their heads.
Breksta mystically wanders around,
To make sure the dwellers are sleeping sound.
And then comes the gallant morn,
Giving way to the dawn.
Grappling the gloomy dark,
Its gleaming rays descend through the cracked clouds.
Bidding farewell to the night,
The dwellers rise, happy and bright.
This is the story of day and night,
the transform of Selene to sunlight.
(‘Selene’
is the Greek deity of the moon, ’Erebus’ is the Greek personification of the
night, ‘Breksta’ is the deity of the night who protects dwellers throughout the
night.)
